Job Description

• Civil Designer working with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Producing civil site, water resources, stream restoration, and solid waste construction documents
• Including site plans, grading & drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, storm and sewer profiles and grading surfaces within documents
• Preparation of plan, profile, and cross-section drawings, and develop erosion control and stormwater pollution prevention (SWPPP) plans
• Calculate material quantities to be used in construction estimates, determine earthwork volumes (cuts and fills) based on existing and proposed topography
• Identify appropriate construction control systems on plans (i.e., baselines, stationing, control points, etc.) and prepare the same

• Producing Civil site documents within AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Updating and adding enhanced detail to Civil site documents
• Calculation of material quantities for construction estimations
• Identification and preparation of construction control systems on Civil site plans
• Know and be able to learn a new drafting and filing system quickly

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting / Civil Engineering Degree
• 3+ years of experience
• Be detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Civil Engineering Degree is a plus
• Solid Civil AutoCAD 3D experience
