Graphic Designer and Video Editor About: The Office of the Leader of the Opposition (OLO) is hub of digital innovation and political engagement in the heart of our nation’s capital. We're looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Digital Media Specialist supporting the Leader of the Opposition and the Conservative Caucus. Responsibilities: Operate video cameras and sound recording equipment on location or in-studio for Conservative Members of Parliament Edit videos accurately and in a timely manner. Editing long and short form content for social media. Creating social media graphics on core messaging or to celebrate various dates of significance. Designing ad orders for MPs including newspaper ads, billboards, and other signage. Editing and cropping-out photos Designing direct mail pieces including flyers and booklets Continually using content workflow and creative applications such as Asana, Slack, LiveU, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro. Working with both the Director and Manager of Caucus Services to ensure all digital requests are filled in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned. Ability to travel within Canada as required. Qualifications: Proficiency in live and field video production, including camera and sound equipment operation and troubleshooting. Ability to set up and operate video production equipment for both studio and location shoots. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite for video, audio, and motion graphics editing especially in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop. Strong understanding of image composition and storytelling. Thrive in a deadline-driven environment and adaptable to changing circumstances. Exceptional teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate with diverse professionals. A combination of relevant education and at least two years of experience in videography, TV production and/or social media.
