Sounds like your next work-home? Check out the details below!
WHO ARE YOU?
- Mid/Senior background in UX / Product design and experience in developing digital products with agile & data-driven methods.
- Mastering a variety of research methods, which helps you to get into users’ minds, collect and put together insights & spot opportunities for innovation.
- It’s a big plus if you have experience in marketplaces and/or e-commerce.
- Fluency in Danish and English : our official working language is English, and we gather people together from multiple backgrounds. Our marketplaces are in the local languages, and that’s why Danish is required (another Nordic language is a plus!)
- As a person, you’re a community builder with creativity and collaboration at the core of your work. You’re comfortable taking initiative, prioritizing and finding common ground (between different design strategies, with product managers, developers, and analysts), are flexible, and thrive in a changing environment. Here’s a bunch of positive and creative minds waiting for you!
WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?
Day-to-day work & projects cooking
As our Product Designer, you’re entering a passionate and wide Schibsted UXers community across the Nordics (counting it a total of 80 Service designers, Product designers, Visual designers and UX writers, 16 of us in Recommerce), driven by the will to create products that users love and to keep on sharing knowledge and growing.
We’ll soon be transitioning DBA to the modernized platform, and that will be a big part of your focus. You cover the user-centric design process from end to end and we dare to say that there’s no day alike. You’re responsible for the user experience, and let qualitative insights and behavioral data drive your designs. You identify and prioritize design problems, explore new concepts and validate them with mock-ups & prototypes with the help of our end users. Constant improvement is always in your mind, thus you keep on measuring and analyzing the usage of the newest launches and sharing your findings with Product Managers, visual designers and developers.
Goals During your first six months with us, you will stand in for our product designer on parental leave, working with two product teams preparing for the launch of DBA on our modernized platform, and understanding Danish user needs connected to that. There’s a chance you will also start working with parts of our transactional product with a Nordic perspective, considering all different user needs and behaviors, and collaborating with UXers from the other Nordic countries. For the next six months, you will continue this work, now together with your fellow Danish product designer coming back from parental leave, sharing the tasks between you and collaborating.
This is a temporary, fixed 1-year internal position, to cover for a fellow’s paternal leave. But don't let the duration deter you! This opportunity is a launchpad for experimentation, a chance to immerse yourself in the field, and an opportunity to open new doors. It's a period rich with growth potential, learning, and significant contributions and our team is eagerly waiting for your first day with us!
