About The Role

This position sits within the university's centralised marketing and communications division and will report to the Senior Project Coordinator in the Operations and Performance team. You will be responsible for designing and developing a range of design solutions for traditional and digital channels in line with the universities branding.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and interpret briefs from various faculties and institutes of the university, understanding their communication needs and objectives
  • Design and produce a wide range of documents, including but not limited to promotional materials, event signage, social media graphics, presentations, and digital assets
  • Develop visually appealing and engaging designs that effectively communicate complex information and adhere to the university's brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate on design concepts, incorporating feedback and ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in graphic design, trends and software to incorporate

About You

  • Proven experience in graphic design (minimum 3 years), with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of print and digital projects
  • Highly developed relationship management skills, including the ability to interact, influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at various levels, including senior university stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
  • A strong passion for design and a commitment to delivering high-quality work that meets the needs of the university and its stakeholders
