About The M1 South - Blackhill To Tomago Project
A joint venture between John Holland and Gamuda Australia has been selected by Transport for NSW to deliver the M1 Pacific Motorway extension to Raymond Terrace Southern Package - a key missing link in one of the country's busiest transport corridors.
The $1.029 billion southern package will deliver a 10-kilometre dual carriageway motorway extension between Black Hill and Tomago. There will be 8 bridges that include a 2.6km viaduct and new congestion-busting interchanges at Black Hill, Tarro and Tomago.
About The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced
CPS Civil & Utilities Manager to join our M1 Black Hill to Tomago Team. Reporting into the Design Team, you’ll be accountable for leading and driving best practice management of CPS design supporting construction activities, and team within the project life cycle to deliver successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities Of The Role Include
- Responsible for managing the delivery of CPS services – design changes, RFI’s, design clarifications, design related NCR management, material approvals, designers’ inspections, certification, production of as-built drawings
- Review progress and manage delivery of design deliverables
- Ensure adequate design review processes including verification and validation of design
- Manage client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively within the project team
- Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes
- Implement management processes to ensure design changes do not compromise environmental and sustainability requirements
- Foster the interaction between design and construction teams to maximise innovation and continue to drive project success.
- Monitor and report on design delivery costs and develop strategies and recommendations for recovery actions in the event of overruns.
To be successful in this key role, you’ll have the following:
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering.
- Experience of managing CPS services on a similar project
- Strong time and cost management skills
- Extensive design, or design management, or construction experience on TfNSW projects
- Strong stakeholder management
