The Architecture & Design Manager, LFS is responsible for the design and development of Large Format Stores, applying the latest design standards to all projects and ensuring all stores are designed to elevate the brand and deliver superior customer experience. Under the supervision of the Architecture & Design Lead, the manager coordinates all aspects of the project with internal partners, including Planning, Product Presentation and Operations, while collaborating with construction teams in each region to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Design Large Format Stores (ranging from 5,000 to 25,000sf) that reflect the latest vision for the brand, ensuring design excellence and an elevated customer experience.
  • Produce schematic design drawing packages for outlet stores, including new stores, renovations, and refreshes.
  • Manage external consultants and suppliers to ensure projects are executed to RL standards.
  • Review and approve construction drawings and millwork shop drawings.
  • Coordinate project requirements with internal partners, including Retail Development, Decorative, and Merchandising.
  • Partner with construction teams in each region to coordinate execution of details.
  • Champion best practices within the team and the division.
  • Partner with Product Presentation in each region to maintain up-to-date information on visual merchandising guidelines and fixture selection.
  • Collaborate effectively with Fixture Team on new and custom fixture designs, and to understand intended fixture usage.
  • Create and issue accurate bid documents and templates.
  • Adhere to established AutoCAD, drafting, project management and directory standards.

Salary range: $62,500 - $146,000 annually

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or similar field
  • 3-5 years in retail design, similar commercial projects or high-end/custom residential in a project manager’s position.
  • Good understanding of all phases of an architectural project
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple competing priorities effectively.
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel), Microsoft Project and SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge of millwork standards, details and construction.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Acrobat X Pro, BIM360 and Smartsheet a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
