Tantus Technologies, Inc. is seeking a qualified UX/UI Designer to support a federal customer in Washington, DC. Qualified candidates must possess superior UX/UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flow and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. You will be responsible to gather user and system requirements, illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps, design graphic user interface elements, develop UI mockups and prototypes, and implement designs into functioning solutions.

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Execute all visual design and implementation stages from concept to design to build
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design
  • Synthesize the information learned, and, when appropriate, create Personas that are used to represent different types of users that interact with the integrated application
  • Create interactive Prototypes
  • Participate in requirements sessions with business stakeholders and end users of the integrated application
  • Conduct user research in the form of interviews, focus groups, surveys, usability testing, and analysis of data
  • Lead UX-related meetings and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Pega Developers
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (design, interaction design, or computer science)
  • Min 5 years of experience with UX/UI
  • UX/UI hands on experience; you will need to being able to help out with the development
  • Experience in Agile development
  • Advanced knowledge of wireframing and/or prototyping
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, jQuery Mobile, React.js, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required
  • Public Trust security clearable
  • Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger, integrated team
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve
  • Ability to build strong trust-based working relationships with team and clients
  • Experience with React.js
  • Familiarity with Pega's reusable UI templates a plus.
  • Experience with MS DevOps tools preferred
  • Experience using human centered design or design thinking a plus


Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Release Trani Engineer to support our client in Woodlawn, MD. You will support Agile Release Trains (ART’s) by shepherding team members to success in delivering software in a large environment. The focus is to facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value.

Facilitates the coordinated preparation of release planning for the release train. This includes

  • Working with the Product architect, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to assist the federal program managers who prioritize the features to be considered in the next program increment planning cycle.
  • Assisting the Product architect, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and federal program managers in the refinement of features to be considered in the next program increment planning cycle to meet the Feature Definition of Ready.
  • Assists the ART in communication and coordination with stakeholders and customers during feature definition and delivery.
  • Ensures effective communication and coordination for and during program increment planning.
  • Manages changes to the ART’s program increment plan and the impacts of those changes.


Release Train Transparency assists the ART to remain transparent to itself, the teams on the train, and to the organization through

  • Roadmap development and maintenance including backlog management.
  • Facilitation and continuous improvement of periodic ART Reviews with organizational leaders and stakeholders to provide clarity on the expected value delivery and to gain stakeholder feedback on changes to direction the release train may need to take.
  • Includes leading the organization and delivery of the System Demos at the end of each sprint as well as a monthly leadership demo.


Delivery Coordination

  • Drives the ART in the coordination of major feature releases and ongoing delivery of value to customers where multiple teams, release trains or solution groups are involved in development and release by hosting RTC (Release Train Coordination) meetings as needed.
  • Drives the ART in resolving and reporting escalated issues involving risk, or dependency management that may be hindering the team’s ability to deliver features. Scrum masters and teams facilitate the resolution of impediments, dependencies and risks within their span of influence.
  • Plans and leads virtual PI Planning events -adept at planning all PI events virtually in tools such as JIRA with integration to Lucidspark including JQL scripting for JIRA and Confluence integration.


Continuous Improvement drives the ART to continuously improve through the facilitation of ART Retrospectives after each program increment planning session, or more often as needed, to improve backlog management, release train reviews, sprint reviews, or release train coordination and higher-level function.

  • Overall 7-10 years of experience in the IT field
  • Of which 3 – 5 years’ experience as RTE or SPC
