Position Summary

Excel Sports Management is looking for a passionate and energetic self-starter to join as the Social Media Graphic Designer to produce graphics and campaigns for Excel's owned and operated social channels. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Adobe CC, resulting in compelling compositions, eye-catching animations, and impactful typography that faithfully reflect Excel's brand. They will also have a strong understanding of the nuance of social creative and be able to translate brand identity into relevant imagery and content. The role focuses on content related to the NBA, WNBA, MLB, PGA, LPGA, NFL, NIL, and more. As such, candidates must have a deep passion for sports and the culture that surrounds the game and the athletes. This role has a dual report to the Director of Social Media and the Creative Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Support the Creative Director in producing, refining, and editing various forms of social media content that align with the overall strategy and storytelling set forth by the Director of Social Media.Participate in brainstorming, conceptualizing, executing, iterating, and finalizing multiple design projects simultaneously from start to completion specifically for social media platformsSource and collect relevant content to satisfy needs for graphic requestsEffectively communicate between all parties ensuring accurate, detailed content is delivered. Ability to manage multiple deadlines at once, both long-term and under tight turnaround.Incorporate feedback from key stakeholders and execute changes and edits whenever necessary.Stay current on creative trends in sport, music, entertainment, lifestyle, art, and culture to bring innovative new ideas to support agency and client channels.All other duties as assignedA portfolio is required, digitalEducation & Experience:

Bachelor's degree required4+ years of professional graphic design experience within a large, sports-related organization or agency.Specific experience with social media designKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Professional Adobe CC, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and PremiereStrong typography skillsSome video editing and animationPassionate about social media content and trendsExperience creating engaging content to grow audiencesPassion for Excel's key sports, divisions and the sports landscape as a whole; interest in pop-culture and lifestyle trendsExcellent organizational skills, focus and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple deadlines and balance short-term and long-term projects, be flexible to shift between projects as new priorities emergeMust be able to think strategically, creatively, and problem-solveAbility to work outside working hours when needed

The pay range for this position is: $75,000- $85,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
