Civil 3D Designer

Job Description:

We are actively seeking a talented Civil Designer to join our expanding Water Resources Group. This role involves a wide range of civil engineering and water resources related projects. You will have the flexibility to design and build solutions that impact ecosystems, watersheds, and communities.

This position can be based in Tampa, West Palm Beach or fully remote. As we are currently operating remotely and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work on large environmental restoration projects involving embankment systems, levees, low and high head reservoirs, pump stations, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and stormwater collection systems;
• Prepare design drawings in Civil 3D
• Perform other duties as needed, based on qualifications and interest, including communication with clients, generating new business opportunities, managing subconsultants/ staff, water modeling, etc.
  
  

Hard Skills:

• 7+ years of Autocad Civil drafting experience (Civil 3D required)
• Experience with and ability to create/manipulate surfaces and corridors
• Experience working with SFWMD is a plus
• Training and experience in the use of standard hydraulic modelling software is a plus (e.g. HEC-RAS, SWMM, ICPR, GEOSLOPE)
• Experience with InfraWorks, Civil 3D, GIS, standard hydrologic data analysis software and sediment transport modeling preferred
• Capable of developing design and bid packages including design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates to comprehensively present project(s) for construction
