UX/UI Designer - HyperX

Job description

Are you always looking to simplify and make things easier to understand? Does your inner three-year old ask “why…?” all the time? Do you find yourself unable to buy a new product without noticing (and finding improvements for) every step, from unboxing to continued long-term use? Passionate about design systems, engaging micro-interactions, and perfect visual design? Sounds like you’d fit right in.

HyperX is looking for an experienced UX/UI designer to join the User Experience team to help create the most amazing product experiences in the gaming industry.

There’s a reason our tagline is “we’re all gamers.” HyperX is committed to creating products that focus on inclusivity and creativity. As a member of our team, you would play an active role in shaping the gaming community into a more accessible, more exciting place by creating experiences for users that range from weekend warriors to professional e-sports players. We celebrate individuality and believe that communities are better when we all embrace our uniqueness. The UX Designer is instrumental in allowing our fans to express themselves through our products.

  • Presenting designs and design recommendations to internal stakeholder audiences and using research findings to clarify and explain the conclusions. Producing specification documents to promote efficient workflows from inception to release or launch.
  • Advocating our users’ point-of-view in the larger design discussions; voicing their feedback and connecting that to our design and business goals.
  • Staying up to date with latest design trends and user expectations, always looking for new and creative ways to improve the software/app experiences.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant Design field, Human Factors Engineering, or demonstrated competence.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a focus on software and apps, ideally in the hardware technology or gaming sectors.
  • Strong design portfolio highlighting software and app design experience, as well visual design and animation.
