DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK
This position is responsible for designing communication materials in various forms. Responsibilities may include designing street signs; creating logos or similar graphics; and ordering department supplies.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.
Designs street and related sign graphics, which includes determining appropriate color schemes, sign shapes, and font sizes; attaches graphics to signs to ensure proper placement. May use paint.Creates logos and other communication materials for client departments.Orders department supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels.Performs hand and benchwork using appropriate hand and power tools.Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance including attendance at required meetings.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING/LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in Graphic Design; or, High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and 1 year of related experience; or, all required certification(s); or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
