What’s the role?
News Corp Australia is seeking a Product Designer to create innovative design solutions for our digital products, brands and commercial partnerships. Working with some of Australia's most recognised and prestigious media brands, you will partner with the product and UX teams to bring to life digital experiences centred around our consumer, and our business objectives.
This role will drive all aspects of design from concept through to delivery. The ideal candidate is collaborative, entrepreneurial, takes initiative, and strives to develop and foster growth.
With a demonstrated background in product UI design, you will be technically minded with a high-level of attention to detail, and a passion for translating business challenges into actionable solutions that add value to the user and meet business requirements.
Who are you?
2 + years experience as a product designer creating and shipping digital products.
Strong visual UI design skills: typography, layout, colour logic, motion, behaviour and design system thinking. Experience presenting work to stakeholders, and clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.
Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders and cross-functional teams across the organisation. Familiarity with Design Systems, and a willingness to work within and contribute to our overarching Design System.
Self-motivated, able to prioritise and manage workload, meet critical project deadlines, and adapt to change in a fast-moving, technology environment.
Experience with wire-framing and prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
Proficient with industry-standard design tools (Sketch [preferred], Adobe Creative Suite, Figma etc.). Appreciation of front-end development techniques and a working knowledge of HTML/CSS. Interest in remaining up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
