Junior Designer responsibilities

Collaborate with the VP of Brand and Marketing to develop concepts and designs for print and digital media, including proposals, brochures, websites, social media graphics, email campaigns, etc.

Assist with design projects including but not limited to proposals, logos, internal/external communications, booth displays, digital graphics and recruitment materials

Create templates for employees to use that adhere to brand standards

Serving as a brand ambassador by supporting and educating stakeholders on brand guidelines and delivering solutions that are in alignment with brand standards

Assist with website maintenance as necessary, specifically Wordpress and Microsite/Intranet Application

Research and stay up-to-date on design trends and best practices to ensure that our designs are innovative and effective

Track and manage assigned projects; working with stakeholders of original project requests to ensure project is on schedule, drafts are approved and timelines are met

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Communicate effectively and work collaboratively across the organization on marketing and communications needs

Required Skills

Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Photography and Video Production and Editing

Understanding of print and web design principles. Strong typography and layout skills.

Logo and icon design experience a plus

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Ability to take direction and work independently

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; or strong online portfolio showing technical skills and experience

Must have an online portfolio

2-3 years of relevant experience in a graphic design role

Knowledge of design trends and principles

Knowledge and ability working with website design and HTML, search engine optimization (SEO), social media design and strategy and email clients. Wordpress a plus.
