Kelly Wearstler is looking for a highly motivated, creative and passionate Senior Product Designer. The ideal candidate will possess a sophisticated understanding of materiality and design, coupled with a proven track record of concept development and product fabrication at an elevated level.

Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the Senior Product Designer will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence across a diverse range of projects, including furniture collections, home objects, custom hospitality designs, and exclusive residential projects. This position demands exceptional leadership, creativity, and attention to detail throughout all phases of the design process.

DUTIESWork alongside the Creative Director in meeting all product development related deadlinesDevelop mood boards and hand sketch new conceptsCreate detailed shop drawings for products in AutoCADOversee 3D renderings projectsCoordinate with Interiors department on their furniture and product development related projectMaintain a detailed production schedule for weekly outside development meetings with vendorsConduct vendor visits within Los Angeles assisting the directors in overseeing product development and production as neededCoordinate daily correspondence with production team and vendorsAssist with coordinating logistics pertaining to product development and productionExecute quality control inspections with a critical eyeManage and maintain design assets and material library to maximize efficient location and retrieval by KW staffCreate Excel and shared google doc spreadsheets for product specifications and market orders

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE6+ years in high-end product developmentOversee the creation of detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD, maintaining the highest standards of precision and accuracyMastery of hand-sketching techniques complemented by advanced digital 3D modeling capabilities in software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or AutoCAD 3DExperience with 3D printing is a plusComprehensive understanding of construction principles and materialityDeep knowledge of luxury, high-end furniture, and product design trends, evidenced by a portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful designsPortfolio showing experience with innovative designsConduct rigorous quality control inspections, leveraging a discerning eye for detail to uphold the brand's reputation for excellenceAbility to lead a design team efficiently and effectivelyFacilitate clear communication between vendors, production team, and design team
