42 Berlin is a disruptive higher education NGO training up to 600 students to become cutting-edge software engineers in a practice-based gamified peer-learning environment.
Our model is based on the internationally successful concept of Ecole 42 which was founded in 2013 in Paris and now trains more than 18.000 students in 50+ schools across the globe.
At 42 Berlin we set out to educate the next generation of software engineers to build a digital future together.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager to build and execute our social media marketing & content strategy together with our awesome Marketing Team. At the same time our Social Media Manager would provide basic design/videography support to the rest of the team.

This position will require onsite presence on our 42 Berlin campus of at least 20h/w

Tasks
- Managing communication on Instagram, TikTok & YouTube
- Basic design tasks
- Basic post related videography
- Event related content production
- Interviewing students and posting their stories
Essential:
- Great understanding of social media
- Good sense of esthetics
- Experience with design tools like Canva, Figma, Ai, Ps
- Good understanding of social media marketing performance metrics
- Fluent/Native English and at least B2 level of German
- Basic experience with photography and videography
- Have a valid work permit to work in Germany
- Independence, creativity, proactive communication & an eye for detail
- Basic understanding of programming in C or any other coding language
- First week of the job will be a 1 week coding challenge - part of the 42 Piscine
