GRADUATE DESIGNER (2 year post)
This is an exciting time for the University of Salford; in line with ambitious plans, we are currently seeking a graduate designer to contribute to the delivery of creative work which supports commercially-focused marketing campaigns and plans of the University’s internal clients, with emphasis on creativity, innovation, efficiency and ROI.
This 12-month role provides an excellent opportunity for a recent University of Salford graduate to kick-start their career by providing crucial paid work experience in a workplace environment. It will equip the individual with the skills and experience to develop their employability skills and succeed within or beyond the university sector.
Reporting to the senior university designer and working as part of the studio team, you will contribute to the production of compelling and coherent marketing and communications materials. You will be involved in multiple projects, respond to creative briefs and ensure your designs are coherent, meet brand guidelines and remain on-brief.
The wider team within which this role sits also includes dedicated marketing, digital and market research teams. We operate a ‘hub and spoke’ marketing model that is new for the university. You will recognise and embrace the need to drive internal engagement to achieve a shared understanding and ownership of student recruitment, professional services and school marketing agendas under the broader university marketing remit.
You will have an appropriate level of relevant design and production experience across print and digital channels and demonstrate a clear understanding the full marketing mix. You will promote creativity and innovation whilst ensuring quality, consistency and efficiency in all areas of marketing activity.
