Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Designer to craft intuitive, user-friendly, and delightful digital experiences. Collaborate closely with a skilled team of Product Managers, Engineers, and research partners to design end-to-end experiences from discovery, ideation, through execution to deployment. This role reports directly to the Head of Product Design.


What you’ll do


Strategic Vision

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders, design leads, product managers, UX researchers, data analysts, and engineers to align on user needs, product vision, and business objectives.
  • Have a clear strategic point of view for the product's design and user experience.

Creative Leadership

  • Represent the vision and voice of the user from the design perspective.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to peers within the design team.
  • Contribute to the creation of internal documentation.

Product Discovery & UX Research

  • Play a vital role in the discovery process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify problems and opportunities to enhance the user experience.
  • Engage in user research activities to empathize with our users. This includes interviews and user surveys, to gain deep insights into user behaviors and pain points.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to make educated, user-centered decisions.
  • Develop personas, user stories, and intuitive UX solutions for complex flows across our digital platforms.
  • Translate findings into actionable recommendations and solutions.
  • Create prototypes and conduct usability testing to collect feedback and gain insights to then validate or discard the proposed solution(s).

Design Execution

  • Create and present visually appealing and intuitive UI designs aligned with brand guidelines, enhancing the overall user experience.
  • Deliver high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes with detailed flows and interactions.
  • Closely collaborate with engineering partners to successfully implement the designs as intended.
  • Ensure consistent patterns and behaviors among our digital products.

Design Systems

  • Utilize and actively contribute to a comprehensive design system that includes a component library and internal documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of Product Design experience
  • Strong sense of human-centric design principles, best practices and accessibility
  • Proven experience designing for mobile, tablets and desktop devices, with deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive layouts
  • Understanding of Design Systems and Component Libraries for team collaboration and brand consistency
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally between multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Ninja skills in Figma
  • Knowledge of Figma variables and design tokens is a plus
  • Highly organized, result-driven with exceptional attention to detail
  • Self-starter that thrives under a fast-paced environment and is looking to Get SHIP Done!
  • Passionate about boating/on-water experiences is always a big plus!

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field
