About Midoki
We are an award wining mobile game development studio based in Warwickshire, the heart of the English countryside. Founded by a small team of veteran game developers in late 2011, our focus is the creation of ground-breaking, socially-connected games that deliver rich entertaining experiences to the mobile space. Midoki collaborated in SEGA Hardlight's Crazy taxi: City Rush, and has developed the award-winning games Plunder Pirates and Knighthood.
Day in the Life of Junior Graphic Designer at Midoki:
As a Junior Graphic Designer at Midoki you will work across both the marketing and art teams, diving into an array of visually captivating tasks aimed at supercharging our product's allure. You'll create eye-catching visuals with a focus on good layout, colours, logo and typeface principles, igniting excitement among our audience! You will have the opportunity to develop and grow in this role, and will delve into the world of UI design with the support of your lead.
You will also generate mockups and drafts that breathe life into our design visions. Working alongside your lead and fellow designers, your innovative ideas will help to skyrocket our games' appeal and draw in fresh waves of players.
What You Need To Do This Job
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Keen eye for detail and an understanding of colour theory.
- The ability to take critique and able to improve work when needed.
- An open approach to collaboration and feedback from others.
- An understanding of layout and composition.
- The ability to use typography as key building block.
The Interview Process
At Midoki we employ a holistic and engaging interview process that allows us to get to know you, your skills and your potential. For the Junior Graphic Designer role you will have one interview with the Art Director and a Lead 2D Artist from Midoki. We will make sure that there is an opportunity during the interview for you to ask any questions too!
