3 Month Contract


Role Overview:


The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the visual design and deliverables for all collateral for Time Out Markets in North America in accordance with branding guidelines. This will include creative design over both digital and printed collateral, including website, social media, direct marketing materials, as well as commercial and e-commerce projects. They will regularly collaborate with key staff of business departments including Operations, Events, Creative Solutions, Marketing, PR and more.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate lively, inspired visual solutions for digital and print design within Time Out Market brand guidelines.
  • Responsible for the design of collateral across all Markets in North-America.
  • Embrace Time Out’s digital-first, mobile-first philosophy. A strong background in digital design is required.
  • Working closely with Market teams, managing creative requests from multiple Markets, and ensuring all work produced is up to the highest standards,delivered on time, and is consistent with the company’s direction globally.
  • Meet aggressive deadlines and ensure all work is completed under budget.
  • Commission specialists for various projects (Photographers, Illustrators, Designers) in accordance with the budgets and VP approval.
  • Assist the Marketing and Creative teams with and global marketing campaigns, events, social, or commercial collateral.


Personal attributes and essential skills:

  • At least 4+ years of experience as a Designer
  • Expert proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects etc.) is required.
  • Expertise in G Suite, Canva, Monday, K4, and working on Macs is a bonus.
  • Advanced digital design skills, with experience in newsletters, websites, responsive design, social media, marketing, and digital signage
  • Experience in print design developing concepts for in-store communications and marketing.
  • Must be willing to negotiate, present ideas in meetings, and be flexible to adjust ideas based on feedback, and willing to take on criticism accordingly.
  • A thorough understanding of fundamental design principles, with a firm knowledge of photography, typography, illustration, and printing.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in working with multiple team members and business stakeholders, planning the workloads, and ensuring everyone is working efficiently.
  • Knowledge of design history, trends, and a current understanding of how the industry is regularly changing.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a fun and dynamic team-based environment.
  • Must be educated to degree level or equivalent industry qualification.
