Set the Unilever data strategy and lay the foundations to maximise the value of our data . Deliver the connected Data Platform to accelerate access to integrated and trusted data at scale across the company for analytics and decisions . Embed core data and analytics capabilities, leading to automation, AI, and Big Data to boost Unilever’s decision intelligence. Lead the Data and Analytics Culture to build a future-fit workforce that values and adopts data-intelligent decision-making across all levels.

Role Profile
As part of D&A Technical Design and Advisory, senior solution architect will be responsible for evaluation, design, and deployment of next gen solutions to enhance existing data lake house, and AI capabilities. You will also be responsible for maintaining azure solution architecture guidelines for use by data & analytics community. You will be working on technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Cloud, Azure Modern data platform, Azure Databricks, Azure Purview, and Python.
This role will focus on designing, building, and implementing a strong solution architecture capability in a consistent way. You will be responsible for ensuring technical standards established as part of D&A solution architecture guidelines are implemented and adhered to during design and implementation across all Unilever D&A capabilities. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business success.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather data requirements.
- Analyse requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
- Designing and implementing data solutions to meet business requirements.
- Design and implement state-of-the-art AI and ML solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI project requirements and objectives, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and providing standard building block architecture
- Research the latest advancements in data & analytics, AI, and machine learning technologies and identify opportunities to integrate them into our products and services.
Data and AI Architecture
- Collaborate with business and other IT teams to understand requirements and convert those to technical solution design.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in area of data, AI/ML technologies.
- Stay up to date with the emerging technology trends in the field of AI, ML, and Data Science
- Drive research, evaluation and documentation of new data, AI/ML technologies, techniques and processes.
- Evaluate and implement latest data governance tooling/feature using Microsoft purview.
- Evaluate and document technical best practices documentation for data solutions.
- Develop reusable code blocks for commonly used AI patterns. E.g.: Azure OpenAI on Azure SQL or Azure OpenAI on unstructured data in azure storage
- Provide training to other team members and stakeholders on architecture principles and best practices.
- Setting up and managing the governance mechanisms for vendor delivery including periodic reviews as per the defined governance mechanism.
Essential Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Master of computer applications.
- 10+ years of experience in design and delivery of data and AI/ML solution
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills who can independently work with business teams to understand requirement and provide solution guidance.
- Exhibit a high level of expertise in the field of solution architecture.
- Hands-on experience developing solution using Azure Cloud, Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Databricks, Azure Purview, python.
- Expertise in architecting and developing scalable data warehouse & AI solutions.
- Experience in working with geographically diverse team.
- Exposure to Retail and CPG industry is a plus.
- Experience in developing AI solutions using Azure OpenAI
- Developing with Python web framework
- Robust mastery of Azure DevOps and CI/CD
