Job Description & Summary

Our Brand Management team leads external brand strategy development and implementation across multiple business units, media, social and digital channels. As part of the team, you’ll be involved with driving marketing programmes, branding events, corporate leadership seminars, public relations and business marketing forums.

Role Purpose:

We have an opportunity available for a tech-savvy individual to join our Africa Digital Presence Team. The role comprises of two components:

Web development: You will be responsible for updating web pages across the PwC Africa group of sites, including, but not limited to designing and building of microsites, landing pages and emails as needed. You will also support the Digital Team in all day-to-day related activities as required. 

MarTech: You will be responsible to assist the team with Marketing technology implementations, including to, but not limited to technical support at events (Audio/visual).

Strong attention to detail and project management skills are required.

  • Updating pages across the PwC Africa group of sites.
  • Setup, building and updating Google sites, Sharepoint sites, 3rd party apps such as SpotMe and Event tools technical setup and configuration as required. 
  • Designing and building highly impactful page design layouts from client data.
  • Applying on page SEO improvements as required across the PwC Group of sites.
  • Performing general maintenance across all websites and correcting any issues identified in reports.
  • Preparing design plans and presenting page layout with the use of wireframes before development starts. 
  • Assist with the creation of new and complex on-page graphics and animation using jQuery,CSS & HTML5.
  • Assisting the larger digital team with day-to-day tasks related to our support desk administration.
  • Support the Digital team with MarTech business case development, roll-out and technical documentation.
  • Ensure brand compliance across all deliverables.

  • You have previous IT technical support experience.
  • Relevant qualifications with minimum 3 years experience as a web designer/developer, agency experience preferred.
  • Previous IT support (systems/network) experience will be beneficial.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced, unpredictable, and demanding environment; comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Essential skills;

    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Dreamweaver, Photoshop or Illustrator.
    • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS
    • jQuery/JavaScript
  • Able to implement business requirements with design elements while adhering to brand standards.
  • When the need arises, you might be called upon to put in overtime.
  • Comfortable with and applying on page SEO techniques.
  • Proficient in CMS systems such as WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Enterprise Manager, Google Sites.(Advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong project management abilities, so that deadlines aren’t missed. 
  • Good knowledge of web design trends.
  • Portfolio of previous designed web interfaces illustrating the various technologies used. 
  • Digital marketing and advertising knowledge/experience (Advantageous).
  • Experience working with PHP/MySQL (Advantageous).
  • Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
